As Ealing’s epicentre for the spreading of Christmas cheer, Ealing Broadway shopping centre will be extending their opening hours until 19:00 on weekdays and 18:00 on weekends to ensure that everyone is catered for in the quest for the best gifts in town. It will also be featuring performances from local choirs and musicians throughout the Christmas period, as well as visits from Father Christmas.
In addition, expect to see Ealing’s Christmas markets in full swing. Open from Friday 18
th to Sunday 27
th November, Ealing Broadway’s Christmas Market reveals a celebration of independent foodies and crafters displaying their wares and undoubted skill for shoppers looking for that special individual gift (or just some tasty festive grub).
If November is too early for Christmas gifts, then the Kingsdown Methodist Church (a 15 minute walk from Jigsaw) is hosting their annual Northfields Christmas Night Market on Saturday 3
rd December from 6:30pm to 9pm. With live music and free entry, it is a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy.
There is something in store for the kids too. On Saturday 10
th December the West Ealing Christmas Fair, supported by A2Dominion, will take place between 12pm and 4pm on Melbourne Avenue with activities including face painting and a live nativity play. Ealing Broadway’s shopping centre will also be hosting free kids' activities and craft sessions throughout the school holidays.
If you are seeking somewhere to catch up with friends for drinks and get merry on Christmas Eve, our tip is to head on down to The Rose & Crown, a hidden gem near South Ealing tube station, a great place to enjoy mulled wine or their festive menu.
Whatever the choice, Ealing has it covered for you this Christmas season. We at Jigsaw wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
