Sign up to the UK’s ‘Best Half Marathon’ – 24 September 2017

Already home to many accolades as one of the leafiest London boroughs with over 100 parks and open spaces including Walpole Park and Ealing Common and shortly to become one of the most connected when Crossrail arrives in 2019, but did you know Ealing is also home to the UK’s ‘Best Half Marathon’?
For the past three years Ealing’s very own Half Marathon, which weaves its way through the leafy and occasional undulation of the ‘Queen of the Suburbs’, takes 8,000 participants on a 13.1 mile measured route that has become celebrated for its amazing atmosphere and picturesque course.

Most of us know the physical benefits of running, but these events are also a great way of meeting new people, getting involved in your local community and of course raising funds for good causes.

The Ealing Half Marathon is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, with a simple aim to organise and manage the event and raise a surplus ploughed back into community projects. So if running isn’t your thing you can play an important role in volunteering for this event and continue to make it a success for your local community.

Participants are cheered on by a 30,000 strong crowd of local supporters and all finishers are guaranteed to receive a fantastic medal when they cross the finish line.

So where do I sign up?

This year’s event will be held on Sunday 24 September 2017. Visit the website here and sign up before it sells out!

And for young runners of all levels aged 6 – 16 who want to be a part of the race weekend atmosphere and experience crossing the finish line of a big race, the Ealing Mini Mile is held the day before on Saturday 23 September.
