Joseph, a cyber security professional, had been living with his parents in Camden since graduating from university four years ago. He’d been looking to get on the property ladder for six months - due to high prices in Camden, he looked at neighbourhoods that offered a similar lifestyle at a more affordable price point. West Ealing was a natural choice for Joseph as he would still be reasonably close to his family, already had friends living in Ealing, and wanted the convenience of the well-connected transportation networks.
“I was sold on the area for a start. There’s a neighbourhood feel to the high street, with its family-run shops, butcher’s and cafes. As for the homes themselves, they’re high specification and the kitchen feels like it was made for me. My one bedroom is very spacious with a private balcony. The openness of the space works for my lifestyle as I work from home a few days a week. There is ample space to fit my workstation comfortably. You can tell the architects put a lot of thought into the design. It really shows.”
“I’d have to say the connectivity – the fact it’s an eight minute walk to Crossrail’s Elizabeth line is such an advantage. I feel like I have the best of both worlds: it’s easy to get into the centre from here, yet I’m not paying central London prices, and travelling to Heathrow is quick too. It’s only going to get better when Crossrail officially opens next year. I also like the fact there are lovely parks nearby – if I need a break and a leisure stroll, I’ll most likely be in Walpole Park.”
“The support I received during the whole buying process, and aftercare has been great. Communication with the team has been quite seamless. I felt I have been really taken care of and guided throughout, which was important to me as a first-time buyer.”
“To get to Chancery Lane will take 25 minutes now, while it was almost double that from Camden. I’ll save so much travel time. It was definitely one of the main factors in choosing Jigsaw. It’s not just connectivity either; Crossrail will bring major long-term benefits to this part of West London, not to mention add value to my home when I come to sell.”
“Well I wouldn’t have been able to buy without it for a start! The thought of having a big mortgage scared me, especially in these times, but with Help to Buy my monthly mortgage payments are lower and feel manageable. It seemed like a sensible financial option that still gives me the financial flexibility to still maintain my lifestyle. It’s an amazing scheme really, helping people like myself onto the property ladder.”
