Boston Road Block Party: A Hanwell Square Hootenanny!
The Boston Road Block Party transformed Hanwell Square into a vibrant hub of activity. The air was filled with the sounds of laughter, music, and the tantalising aroma of delicious food.
Residents, friends, and community members flocked to join the end-of-summer celebrations, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The square was adorned with colorful bunting and a beautiful balloon arch from local supplier, Amreen’s Gifts and Balloons. For those seeking a touch of nature, flowers and plants were also available for purchase from the local florist, Floral Creations London.
Live music filled the air, with youth music charity, The Basement Door, displaying the latest hot talent on the west London music scene. Local bands and musicians took turns entertaining the crowds, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.
For the younger attendees, the Block Party offered a variety of fun activities. Face painting transformed little (and big) faces into colorful masterpieces, while lively and magical entertainment from, award-winning, Mr. Ruffles Parties kept everyone entertained. The laughter and joy of the children filled the square, creating a heartwarming ambiance.
Food stalls were on hand offering a delicious array of cuisines to tantalize the taste buds. A huge thank you to Heart and Soul Caribbean Food, W7 Emporium, and BrIce London for their tasty cuisine and gelato, and to The Dodo Micropub and Perivale Brewery for their refreshing drinks.
One of the highlights of the Block Party was the incredible community spirit on display. Neighbours and friends gathered to enjoy the festivities, creating a sense of unity and belonging. The square was filled with people of all ages, united by their shared love for their community and their desire to celebrate together.
The Block Party was a testament to the vibrant and diverse nature of Hanwell Square. It brought together people from all walks of life, fostering a sense of community and belonging. The event was a reminder of the importance of supporting local businesses and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the area. In the words of Councillor Monica Hamidi, "Very demure, very mindful, very community minded."
As the day ended, the Block Party ended. The square gradually emptied as people made their way home, carrying with them the memories of a fantastic day. The Boston Road Block Party was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on the community.
We want to extend a huge thank you to all who made this day possible. The Dodo Micropub, Ealing Council, and the Mayor of London did an incredible job organising this community celebration. The live music, face painting, and kids' entertainment were hits, and the food stalls were delicious.
A special shoutout to all the amazing local businesses that participated. Your support means the world to our community. We also want to thank everyone who came out to enjoy the festivities. Your presence made this event so special.
